Connie M. Ramirez Palacios,74, died Friday August 21, 2020 at St Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born February 20, 1946 the daughter of Santiago & Luisa (Navaro) Ramirez in Garden City, Kansas

Connie was born and raised in Garden City. She had worked in housekeeping at nursing homes and the hospital Her hard working hands fed and clothed her children and they will forever be grateful for her many sacrifices. She especially enjoyed decorating for Christmas and the joys of being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She lit up when the house was full of her loved ones. She loved to dance, watch movies and spend time at the casino (when luck was on her side).

Survivors include her Children Brenda Ortegon and Fiancée Jason Drees of Garden City, Kansas, Rosa Castorena of Liberal, Kansas, Rhonda Torres of Garden City, Kansas, Mattie Estrada of Dalhart, Texas, William Hernandez and his wife Crystal C. Hernandez of Seattle Washington, Joe Padilla of Garden City, Kansas, Siblings-Delores Pena of Garden City, Kansas, Rose Gonzales of Garden City, Kansas and James Ramirez of Topeka, Kansas; 31 Grandchildren and 42 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents; Siblings-Mary Lou Baca, Lupe Minjarez & Josie Otero and Great Grandson Aiden Jorge Ortegon.

A Liturgical Service will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday August 26, 2020 at St. Mary Catholic Church of Garden City, Kansas with the service on the Garnand Funeral Home Facebook Live and with Father Jacob Schneider as Celebrant.
