Obituary for Jason Lujan Guevara
Jason Lujan Guevara, 22, died Wednesday September 16, 2020 in Garden City, Kansas.
Jason was born in Garden City on December 27, 1997. He graduated from Garden City Senior High and attended a trade school in Liberal to become a machinist. Cooking was his passion, he was a talented Chef. He became an integral part of the highly acclaimed Garden City High School Culinary Arts Program that won state and national honors in 2015. Memberships included St Mary Catholic Church and the Youth Group Arcoiris. Most recently he was working at Mosaic, providing support services to the developmentally disabled. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, target practice and riding his Can-Am Maverick Turbo. His parents and family will cherish his loving disposition; his friends will keep his memory alive in their thoughts and in their hearts.

Survivors include his Parents-Alma and Miguel Guevara, Siblings-Gabriel Guevara & Leah Guevara; Fiancé-Melissa Arroyo; Grandparents- Sofia & Fernando Lujan and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
A Funeral Mass will be held 1:30 pm Monday September 21, 2020 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Jacob Schneider officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery. Visitation will be held 12:00-6:00 pm and Rosary at 6:00 pm on Sunday September 20, 2020 both at Garnand Funeral Home, 412 N 7th Street, Garden City, KS 67846. The family suggests memorials to the Jason Lujan Guevara Memorial Fund in Care of the funeral home.
