Jose Luis Segovia Chavez, 49, died Thursday June 4, 2020 in Garden City, Kansas. He was born March 19, 1971 in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico the son of Blas Segovia Mendoza and Magdalena Chavez.
Mr Segovia Chavez has lived in Garden City for 30 years. He had worked at Monfort in the processing department. He enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, spending time with his family and cheering on the Cruz Azul soccer team. His physical limitations didn’t have an effect on his positive attitude and pleasant disposition.
He was preceded in death by His father. Survivors include his Sons- Luis Alfredo Segovia & Marcos Angel Segovia; Mother-Magdalena Chavez Estrada; Siblings; Alma Veronica Segovia Chavez, Alonso Segovia Chavez, Guadalupe Segovia Chavez, Jose Alfredo Segovia Chavez and Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts & uncles.
A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 am Sunday June 7, 2020 with Father Jacob Schneider live via the Garnand Funeral Home Facebook Page. Burial will take place at a later date. Visitation will take place 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Saturday June 6, 2020 at Garnand Funeral Home, 412 N 7th Street, Garden City, KS 620-276-3219. Memorials are suggested to St. Mary Catholic Church.
